Thought about that lecture...

I really don't see how making consumer products with antibiotics randomly added, or as a doctor writing an antibiotic prescription for something you have no reason to believe is bacterial, or as a patient failing to take the entire course of a legitimate antibiotic prescription, is morally that much different from parking in front of a fire station.

Antibiotics were one of medicine's greatest triumphs, and by behaving in ways which unnecessarily diminish their effectiveness by fostering resistant pathogen strains we're just pissing away a critical world asset.
