Thirty Miles Worth of Brainstorming

For today's ride, I tried to summarize the kind of environment in which I'm at my best. The idea is that if things seem to be misfiring or dull, I can do a reality check against the following to see if anything obvious is missing.
  1. Primary activity is writing, with intent of persuading or summarizing findings (check - these are fundamental activities in the day-to-day practice of law).
  2. Small semi-permanent teams free of cutthroat interpersonal politics (in other words avoid big firms based on the "making partner" model and inflated billable hours, but that isn't something I was considering anyway)
  3. New organizations or companies which can legitimately claim to be fostering a societal good, ideally in a novel way (ideally I'd like to graduate with enough strength in corporate law and non-profit law to have the option of a side career helping startups)
