|Software for reliability analysis and experimental design

Lately I've been catching up on recent developments in some of the fields I studied during my industrial engineering doctoral program, including reliability analysis and experimental design.|
It turns out version 9 of Mathematica, which came out just one month ago, added support for advanced reliability analysis and truncated data. Meanwhile the free R package RcmdrPlugin.DoE now provides an easy to use environment for designing and analyzing controlled experiments, which could prove to be an important resource in teaching this important and practical subject.
