According to my guidebook if one more footbridge were constructed the Lime Kiln Trail could connect with the Old Robe Trail. The Old Robe Trail was the first trail hike I'd done since my first year of college, and my experience hiking it led to my decision to try to solo hike around Mount Rainier (and eventually to my two solo cross-country bicycle trips).
If at some point in life I'm in a position to engage in some significant charitable work, then I'd love to help raise funds to construct that connecting footbridge.
