|Where the West Seattle Bridge was hit

In 1978 a negligently-piloted freighter struck the West Seattle Bridge, rendering it permanently unusable (and furthermore its replacement wouldn't be complete until 1984).
What you see here is the actual point of impact.
This relic is in the Log House Museum, maintained by the Southwest Seattle Historical Society.
