In the hope of rectifying this sad state of affairs, I humbly submit to you the following procedure:
- Any time you're assigned a membership number, bib number, etc., which lies between 0 and 1114111 (but at least for now just 0 and 195103 and furthermore just 32 and 195103 if you don't have a sense of humor), look up the Unicode character assigned to that number.
- Find some way to connect that Unicode character with your experience of said organization or event.
In my case, the Big Climb organizers assigned me bib number 5379, as you can see in the preceding photograph. The Unicode character assigned to that decimal number, which happens to fall within the Unified Canadian Aboriginal Syllabics code page, looks exactly like someone sitting down with something resting on his or her lap:
That is exactly what I was doing on Columbia Tower's observation deck with my jacket, earlier today, after finishing the Big Climb.
Have fun with this :)
