Last page of reading in law school

Tonight I finished the last reading assignment for my last class in law school. Since I had already finished all the writing assignments, finished studying for the Roman Law final exam next week, and wrapped things up with the last Entrepreneurial Law Clinic client, this essentially means I'm done with law school.

While I was finishing this last reading assignment I had NASA's live HD broadcast of the Space Shuttle Endeavour undocking from the International Space Station on in the background; watching the space station recede into the distance after the shuttle undocked seemed like an apt metaphor for bringing law school to a close.

For what it's worth, the first sentence of the first page of reading was: "This chapter introduces the idea of property by exploring how it has developed in two discrete modern contexts, the right of publicity and cultural property."

And, the last sentence of tonight's last page of reading turned out to be: "Our final problem asks you to consider possible approaches for changing doctrines and institutions in ways that might redress this imbalance."

So, there you go: the beginning, and the end.
