"The Room" at Central Cinema

Films which are enjoyed for being "so bad they're good" tend to be either low-budget productions or older genre movies (especially science fiction and horror). It's comparatively rare for a well-funded modern drama, which was genuinely intended to entertain its audience as a drama, to fail so spectacularly that not only does it fall into that "so bad it's good" category, but it elicits uncontrolled laughter.

The 2003 drama The Room is a rare example of the latter, and seems to be becoming the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" of the 21st century.

Seattle's Central Cinema (which also serves beer and wine) has started showing "The Room" at 9:30pm on the first Thursday of every month.

"The Room" is hilarious enough when seen at home, and watching it with a group of aficionados makes it even better.

I strongly recommended taking the time to do this :)
