Wendover airfield

I took this photograph of Wendover airfield from its abandoned control tower.

During WWII, this area constituted Wendover Air Force Base, and was used for training almost all of the United States heavy bomber crews. In particular it was used for training the crews of the Enola Gay and the Bockscar, which dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
