The Wyoming State Penitentiary baseball field, abandoned in 1981
Paraphrasing a classic speech from the 1989 movie Field of Dreams:
"Prisoners will come, Ray. They'll be sent to the Wyoming State Penitentiary for crimes they can't even fathom, since for the most part they'll have been drunk when they committed them. They'll wander out into this baseball field as innocent as children, longing for a past in which they were free. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only one pack of cigarettes per person. They'll pass over the cigarettes, or otherwise 'present' themselves, without even thinking about it. They'll walk out to the imaginary bleachers, surrounded by armed guards willing to shoot each of them in an instant for personal amusement, and sit in orange jumpsuits on a perfect afternoon.
"Prisoners will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. That, of course, and prisons. Oh... prisoners will come Ray. Prisoners will most definitely come."
