How to make long-distance cyclists happy

  1. Don't litter: whatever you toss ends up where we ride, and we have to look at it longer than anyone else would.
  2. Don't yell things out the window as you pass: you might mean well, but it's startling, and it's impossible to understand what you're saying.
  3. If you kill a deer with your pickup, drag it ALL the way off the road.
  4. Give us room when you pass: if we're out of the shoulder and in your driving lane, it's either because there IS no shoulder, or it's because the shoulder was covered with something that made it temporarily unsafe to use.
