The Puyallup Fair

I hadn't been to a fair for over 15 years. Back then, I remember seeing ordinary chickens and cows. Given the rapid pace of technological advance, I had high hopes for what I'd see here today: cows with genetically-engineered intelligence so high that they can amuse you by literally begging for their lives, robotic chickens that at harvest time can chop their own heads off, and cotton candy made of antimatter. Needless to say I was sorely disappointed, except with regard to the cotton candy, which apparently was made of antimatter all along.
